Sites
All installations of Smartsign contains a minimum of one site created by the Installation Wizard during installation.
A site can be thought of as a separate Smartsign installation. A site admin can only access his or her own players, screens, users and layouts. When they log in they will have all functionality as an ordinary admin but only for their part of the installation. Sites are advanced and should only be used by experienced administrators in enterprise installations.
Active site
An administrator can have access to multiple sites and to switch between them, you use the dropdown menu in the header. We recommend using "All sites" as little as possible to avoid confusion and erroneous configurations. "All sites" should normally only be used when searching for a resource globally or when creating or administrating sites.After you select a site in this dropdown menu everything you do will be placed in this site: new users, new layers and new groups. If you register a Player, it will also be put in this site.The content shown under each view in the top menu bar will also change to reflect your choice of site in the dropdown menu. You will only see users, layers, groups and other content specific to this site.
Sites View
You can view the sites in tree view or list view. The tree view shows the hierarchy of sites and enables drag and drop of sites. The list view allows you to search for sites.
Site Details
Select a site and click View to access the Site Detail view. It gives you detailed information about the site, including the storage quota, chosen theme, site profile and settings.
Licenses
To assign licenses to a site, you need to use the Smartsign license portal.
Site Content
The Content tab shows the all resources of the chosen site. It will display all the players, screens, layers, channels, screen layout themes, user profiles, player profiles, services, triggers and site themes available in that site.
Site settings
Site settings will make it possible to adjust the functionality on a site by site basis. Here you can change settings related to Users, Players, Site, Media, Bookings and Email.
